#Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite has been announced as the company’s next flagship chipset ahead of the 2025 Snapdragon Summit. Instead of following the vein of an ‘Elite Gen 2’ label, Qualcomm explained how the Snapdragon 8 Elite was the fourth-gen iteration via Weibo. Here’s the flagship chips in order—Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4), Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Branding-wise, it’s highly possible that the chip will be touted as ‘Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy’. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI.
