Qualcomm boasts that Sony image sensors' Digital Overlap HDR (DOL-HDR) and Samsung’s 200MP HP3 are optimized for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 — that's also first to include AV1 codec for playback up to 8K HDR at 60fps. Connectivity The 8 Gen 2 has the new Snapdragon X70 5G modem with support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz 5G. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series.
