#qualcomm snapdragon 855 + snapdragon X50 5G modem

Softbank's latest earnings report hint at Qualcomm's next-gen flagship chip -- the Snapdragon 855 Fusion. The new chipset is even revealed to come included with the company's Snapdragon X50 5G modem. While this is exciting news, do take note that Qualcomm themselves have stated during the X50 announcement that mobile devices with the modem will not be ready until the first half of 2019. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C platform, a new processor designed for entry-level laptops priced starting at around USD 300. Qualcomm said laptops powered by Snapdragon C are expected to launch later this year from brands including Acer, HP, and Lenovo. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI.
