#qualcomm snapdragon 855 + snapdragon X50 5G modem

Softbank's latest earnings report hint at Qualcomm's next-gen flagship chip -- the Snapdragon 855 Fusion. The new chipset is even revealed to come included with the company's Snapdragon X50 5G modem. While this is exciting news, do take note that Qualcomm themselves have stated during the X50 announcement that mobile devices with the modem will not be ready until the first half of 2019. Qualcomm has already increased the cost of some premium Snapdragon processors in recent years. Qualcomm has not announced which Snapdragon models will receive the largest increases. Qualcomm has announced that its annual Snapdragon Summit will take place from September 22 to 24, 2026, in Hawaii, where the company is expected to introduce its next-generation Snapdragon processors. While Qualcomm has not officially confirmed the products that will be unveiled during the summit, the Snapdragon Summit has traditionally served as the company's stage for introducing its flagship mobile platforms. Industry reports also suggest that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series could be Qualcomm's first flagship mobile processors manufactured using a 2nm process, although the company has yet to confirm the manufacturing details or pricing.
