Razer and Visa announced that they are partnering up to bring Visa payments to Razer Pay e-wallet. Razer's financial department, Razer Fintech, and Visa will be collaborating to develop an exclusive Razer-branded Visa prepaid payment solution via a mini-app embedded into Razer Pay. With this partnership, Razer Pay users will soon be able to make payments wherever Visa is accepted. The existing Razer Pay e-wallet allows users to perform mobile top-ups, purchase virtual credits, purchase music and pay for streaming services. The integrated prepaid card will also offer the same existing services in Razer Pay. Razer and Visa are expecting to roll out the virtual prepaid card first in Southeast Asia before expanding globally. According to Sony, the closure is necessary due to the PS3 and PS Vita platforms can no longer support the modern payment processing and commerce systems used by the PlayStation Store.
