#Roblox issues safety concerns

Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center has issued a one-month ultimatum to Roblox, warning of a possible nationwide ban if concerns over child safety and illegal activity are not addressed. Officials said similar restrictions have been implemented in other countries due to safety concerns surrounding the platform. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said Roblox will not be banned in the Philippines after the platform promised to improve safety for children. Roblox will conduct an information campaign on April 12 2026 to educate parents about its safety tools, which include screen time limits, purchase controls, blocking harmful content, and age-based game selection. Earlier, the agency warned Roblox it could face a ban because of reports about child safety issues on the platform. Some of these images involved children, raising serious concerns about safety, consent, and possible violations of the law.
