Earlier this year, AMD released its new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs at CES 2023. Meet the new AMD Ryzen Mobile 7040U series processors. Unlike the standard 7000 series chipsets, the “U” in AMD Ryzen 7040U processors stand for “ultra-low power”, and they are designed mainly for thin laptops and other ultra-portable devices. AMD says the Ryzen 7040U series mobile processors, based on the new Zen 4 architecture provide “more graphics power than ever before” and even offer better output compared to its rivals, Apple and Intel. AMD mistakenly leaked information regarding its own incoming Ryzen 7000 series of chipsets. [caption id="attachment_316471" align="alignnone" width="720"] Image | AMD[/caption] It was first seen by Videocardz last Wednesday that AMD listed the SKUs of the awaited 7000 series of CPUs which includes Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900x, Ryzen 7 7700X, and Ryzen 5 7600X. What’s said to be peculiar is the missing Ryzen 7 7800X and any kind of Ryzen 3 7000 series CPU which is aimed at budget and mid-lever gamers which was previously hinted at by Greymon, a leaker on Twitter. Aside from these leaks, there are no further elaborations on the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series specs and launch date even though it is expected to debut this mid-September 2022.
