Meet SALt, a LED lamp that is powered by tap water and table salt. SALt stands for Sustainable Alternative Lighting and is made by the company's co-founder and CEO, Engr. It's a lamp equipped with LEDs and uses Galvanic cells and saline solution to power itself. All you need is one glass of water and two tablespoons of salt. The SALt lamp can be used for 8 hours a day for up to 6 months. It is also safe as it doesn't have any materials or components that may cause fire accidents, making it a good alternative to kerosene/battery-powered lamps and candles. According to the company's website, they are currently in mass production stage but they are expecting to release the SALt lamp before the end of the year or by Q1 next year.
