We reported before that Samsung is bringing the Google Nexus S in the Philippines last March. The bare Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) UI is pretty standard (IMO, it looks better than the TouchWiz 3.0 UI) and reminded me of the Nexus One. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia.
