GCash strengthens its app security by blocking access for devices that have undergone modifications. Note that their new security measure DOES NOT automatically block a GCash account if it is accessed on a modified device. By bypassing the security measures put in place by the operating system, jailbroken and rooted devices may be more vulnerable to security threats and malicious software. GCash's decision to block access for jailbroken, rooted, and modified devices is a security measure aimed at protecting user data and ensuring the integrity of their app. GCash has expanded its in-app help tools and security features to address a growing number of user issues on its platform, including unauthorized transactions, scams, account takeovers, and “wrong send” errors. Security features in place GCash highlights several built-in security controls, including Account Secure, which limits account access to one device at a time. Just received an SMS from my account manager from Security Bank early this morning (this was after one missed call). Then, we noticed several other Security Bank customers also report of the same SMS confirmation (just that mine was more personalized).
