Sharp is finally bringing to the local market the first ever 8K LED TV, the AQUOS 8K. “Sharp is now promoting ‘Changing the World with 8K and AIoT’ as we display products equipped with this outstanding technology that we will introduce in the Philippine market this year.” Yoshihiro Hashimoto, Managing Executive Officer of Sharp Corporation According to Mr. Pricing and exact availability were not revealed but we can expect Sharp to announce those as the year draws to a close. Sharp Philippines showcased a bunch of new products ranging from LED lighting, to solar panels, LCD TVs and 3D projectors. Sharps' Aquos line of LCD/LED TVs now have an additional color over the stadard RGB colors with sizes 40", 46" and 52" (Aquos LE820). Sharp is also one of the few LCD manufacturers that make their own display. Sharp's been making solar panels as early as 1959 and the ones they showcased were fit for commercial and residential use. Sharp executives did not specify release dates and price schedules for their new products but commented that it will be priced competitively once released later this year.
