DITO Telecommunity has launched Silent Network Authentication, a technology that allows digital platforms to verify users directly through the mobile network without relying on SMS one-time passwords (OTPs). Silent Network Authentication allows digital services such as banking apps, fintech platforms, and online services to confirm a user’s identity through network-level verification instead of sending OTP codes. This authentication will most commonly be a code which is sent via text, email, push notification or embedded in an app. Most major platform developers like Facebook and Google already have this feature. Other Platforms Steam Steam now implements Steam Guard via their mobile app as a 2-factor authentication. Other programs and platforms we did not feature may also offer 2-factor authentication make sure to double check.
