The website of the Senate of the Philippines was reportedly targeted by a cyberattack on June 10, with local hacktivist group Nullsec Philippines claiming responsibility for the incident. According to the group, it somehow gained unauthorized access to the website and then changed its content, such as by posting a message calling for more transparency, accountability, and action against government corruption. Officials emphasized that the website primarily hosts publicly accessible documents and other information intended for public viewing, so, in their view, nothing private was compromised. An investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of the breach and strengthen the website’s security measures. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has launched a new website where the public can directly report misbehaving drivers. The website allows users to report cases such as road rage, hit-and-run incidents, colorum vehicles, and other traffic violations. One key feature of the website is the Show Cause Order (SCO) tracker. The website was tested earlier this month before being opened to the public.
