Qualcomm teased an upcoming Snapdragon X chip made for budget-friendly Windows-powered devices during their Investor Day event. At the moment, news outlets have only referred to this as Snapdragon X. At the moment, Qualcomm offers PCs with the Snapdragon X Elite with a 12-core CPU. There’s also the Snapdragon X Plus, available with either an 8 or 10-core CPU. The most notable thing announced from the event is that Qualcomm will be including their NPU for the base Snapdragon X. NPUs are usually included in higher-end chips, so this gives Qualcomm some leverage in the future. We expect the news on the Snapdragon X by next year’s CES event. In hopes to further disrupt the PC market, Qualcomm at its investor day summit on Tuesday revealed a new lineup of Snapdragon X processors specifically designed for sub- USD 600 (~Php35K) Windows PCs.
