Qualcomm has unveiled their latest chipset for virtual reality headsets with the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2. The Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 is a chipset for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality devices. When compared to its predecessor, the XR2 Gen 2, the XR2+ Gen 2 supports 4.3K at 90 frames per second resolution with a 20% increased CPU and 15% higher GPU max frequency. On board, it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and OnePlus says it brings noticeable speed gains over the last generation.
