Sony has announced the Alpha 7R VI, the latest model in its high-resolution Alpha 7R camera series. Sony says the camera supports up to 30fps continuous shooting, 8K video recording, and improved autofocus tracking with AI-based subject recognition. The Alpha 7R VI also introduces a new NP-SA100 battery, a 9.44-million-dot OLED viewfinder, and support for Sony’s Camera Authenticity Solution for image verification. Alongside the camera, Sony also introduced the XLR-A4 XLR adaptor for professional audio recording with support for 32-bit float recording. Sony said the Alpha 7R VI will be released in June 2026.
