Sony’s Xperia 1 VIII has surfaced in an eSIM database, hinting that the next-generation flagship is already in testing. Despite Sony’s quieter smartphone strategy in recent years, the Xperia 1 VIII seems ready to continue the brand’s legacy of creator-focused, camera-first Android flagships. While details on design and cameras remain scarce, Sony is expected to debut the Xperia 1 VIII in mid-2026, roughly following the Xperia 1 VII’s June release schedule. Sony has announced the Xperia 1 VIII, its latest flagship smartphone focused on photography, audio, and AI-powered camera features. The Xperia 1 VIII also features an upgraded telephoto camera with a larger 1/1.56-inch sensor. The Xperia 1 VIII comes in Graphite Black, Iolite Silver, Garnet Red, and Native Gold color options.
