Squarespace has entered a definitive agreement with Google and bought Google Domains' assets, including about 10 million domains. Squarespace can offer an integrated experience of purchasing and managing domains, as well as providing other tools that customers may require to develop their online presence. Squarespace has promised to maintain the renewal prices of existing Google Domains customers for at least 12 months after the deal is closed in Q3 2023. As part of the deal, customers will become Squarespace customers, and their domains will be owned and eventually managed by Squarespace after the transition period.
