God of War is set to release on Steam in early 2022. The game is now listed on the app and is set for a release in January 2022. "All of us at Santa Monica Studio have been humbled by the immense amount of support and passions fans of the God of War series have shown in the latest chapter of Kratos’ story since its release. Controller as well as mouse and keyboard support will be supported in the release also. There will be exclusive digital content for users who purchase God of War on PC including: Death’s Vow Armor Sets for Kratos and Atreus Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin Buckler of the Forge Shield Skin Shining Elven Soul Shield Skin Dökkenshieldr Shield Skin God of War is available for pre-purchase on Steam and Epic Games Store. In a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony said that new games released after January 2028 will be available in digital format only through the PlayStation Store and participating retailers. Sony clarified that the change will only apply to new releases after the January 2028 cutoff. Games that have already launched, as well as titles scheduled to be released before that date, will still be available in disc format.
