Network-attached storage manufacturer and IP surveillance solution provider, Synology, has introduced its new ActiveProtect appliances at Computex 2024. These appliances aim to provide businesses with streamlined, comprehensive data protection solutions. "Organizations are tasked with maintaining overly complex and costly data protection strategies, and we aim to solve all the challenges at once with ActiveProtect," stated Jia-Yu Liu, Executive Vice President at Synology. Storage capacity can be tiered with Synology NAS/SAN storage solutions, C2 Object Storage, and other ActiveProtect appliances. Existing Synology Active Backup for Business deployments can also be managed from the unified interface, providing high deployment flexibility. ActiveProtect will be available through Synology distributors and partners later in 2024. The new service aims to improve digital transactions for vendors, customers, and nearby businesses in the market. The initiative supports the government’s goal of expanding digital financial services and building a more cash-lite economy in public markets and small businesses.
