This time, we're going to check out one of Synology's newest offerings, the Synology DS723+ NAS device. Compared to the Synology DS223 we featured earlier, the Synology DS723+ has a few more features that make it a more versatile solution than the former. Synology DS723+ The Synology DS723+ has 2 drive bays with a maximum of 7 drive bays via an expansion unit (with DX517). It supports multiple RAID configurations — Synology Hybrid RAID, Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 (with Expansion Unit), RAID 6 (with Expansion Unit), and RAID 10 (with Expansion Unit). While many NAS solutions have indeed adopted smaller form factors, the fact that you have room for 10GbE and dual NVMe drives with the DS723+ is still something to applaud.
