According to the newly installed MIAA General Manager, Eddie Villanueva Monreal, ordinary metered taxis will be allowed to enter all NAIA terminals and pick up passengers starting tomorrow. This is to address the long-time problem of the lack of accredited taxi operators currently servicing the airline terminals. Airport security will be taking note of the taxi plate number, driver and operator for each taxi entering the terminal and provide a copy to the passenger with a duplicate kept by the MIAA for their own records. Earlier this year, transport services like Uber and GrabCar were also allowed inside terminals to address clamors by the public.
