Caterpillar has introduced a new pickup truck designed for job sites, bringing several safety and monitoring technologies normally found in the company’s heavy equipment.

The new Cat Truck is built using the same design approach used in Caterpillar machines. However, the main focus of the pickup is the technology inside the vehicle, which aims to help managers and operators run job sites more safely and efficiently.
One of its key features is Detect Camera Technology, which can identify when workers are too close to machines. The system can alert the driver to help prevent accidents before they happen.
The pickup also includes a Driver Safety System that monitors signs of operator fatigue. The system checks the driver’s condition while also connecting to job site equipment to help reduce accidents caused by tired operators.
Another feature is a Drone Launching Station built into the truck. This system allows autonomous drones to perform site surveys or deliver small parts to workers around the site. The goal is to help teams respond faster and reduce delays during work.

Inside the truck, an Integrated Display Hub serves as the main control center. The screen combines the CAT AI Assistant, VisionLink productivity monitoring tools, and the Detect safety system in one place so operators can view important job site information easily.
According to Caterpillar, these technologies aim to give users better visibility and control of their job sites directly from the truck.
