Tesla has unveiled their latest technology for powering homes using the sun - the Solar Roof and the Powerwall 2. The Solar Roof looks like an ordinary yet attractive roofing when viewed from the street, however, the tiles are actually solar panels that collect energy from the sun. Tesla says that it costs lower than a traditional roof when combined with projected utility bill savings. SM Prime, in partnership with Solar Philippines, built a 1.5-megawatt (1,500 kilowatt) solar rooftop at SM City North Edsa which will be used to power up a significant portion of the mall’s energy requirements.
