Toshiba has unveiled its new Android tablet that packs a 7-inch display, quad-core Intel CPU, Android 4.4 KitKat, and a $109.99 price tag - the Excite Go. Powering the Excite GO is a quad-core Intel Atom CPU, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, and a battery that Toshiba claims can provide up to 8 hours of general use or up to 6.5 hours of video playback. Aside from the dual-screen Libretto that I see a lot in stores, this one Toshiba netbook I saw was a rarity since it's running on an NVidia Tegra 250 processor and Android 2.1 OS. I could not make out the most of it but the the specs says 10.1" screen, 1.0GHz Tegra 250 CPU, 512MB RAM, 16GB Flash storage and Android 2.1 OS. Incidentally, right after I landed in Manila early this morning, I had to fly to Singapore today to attend a Toshiba event in Suntec City this afternoon. Toshiba's entry into the netbook market never really landed in the Philippines with the first model (the 9" NB100) launched last year in Singapore. The 10-inch Toshiba NB200 now goes on sale at CompLink.
