Met one of the folks from TrafficDito yesterday where I was introduced to their new iPhone app. Just download the app from the iTunes App Store (search for TrafficDito) and sign up for an account so you can submit live traffic reports. The app gets your location (via GPS) automatically so that when you submit traffic reports, it pushes your location as well. Traffic quality is rated as Light, Moderate or Heavy. Numbeo, a crowdsourced global database and multinational research firm, has published its Traffic Index for Country 2015 which placed the Philippines among the top ten countries in the world with the worst traffic conditions. According to Numbeo's report, the Philippines has a Traffic Index of 202.31 which puts the country in 9th place worldwide. ABS-CBN has reported that yesterday might be the beginning of the so-called 'Traffic Armageddon' in Manila due to the construction of the Skyway 3 project and the NAIAEx phase 2 project. It was foreseen that traffic volume in EDSA would increase by more than half, so it's inevitable that we'll get stuck in traffic.
