The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, or UNICEF, has launched a campaign called the Tap Project that enables mobile users help provide clean water to those in need by not using their smartphones or tablets for a short period of time. According to UNICEF, there are 768 million people around the world who do not have safe, clean water to drink. All you need to do is visit uniceftapproject.org on your mobile device then see how long you can go without your smartphone. For every ten minutes you don't touch your phone, UNICEF Tap Project donors and sponsors can fund one day of clean water for a child in need.
