Disney+ has unveiled Verts, a vertical video feature to help users discover more content. For video creators, the camera supports 7K 30p RAW open gate recording, allowing users to crop footage into different formats such as 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 from a single recording. Other recording options include 4K 120p, oversampled 4K video, and Canon Log 2 and Log 3 profiles with up to 15+ stops of dynamic range. Sony says this approach helps reduce common HDR issues such as motion artifacts while also improving HDR video recording. Other features include support for 4K HDR video at 60fps and new Ultra High Conversion Gain circuits that reportedly reduce image noise by around 30% compared to previous Sony sensors in low-light situations.
