Commuters on the LRT-2 can now pay their fares using contactless payment methods after RCBC, in partnership with Visa, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), and the Department of Transportation (DOTr), officially activated tap-to-pay at station turnstiles. Starting today, passengers can use NFC-enabled devices with Google Pay, Visa or Mastercard debit, credit, and prepaid cards to enter and exit LRT-2 stations. The rollout is part of ongoing efforts to modernize public transportation and encourage the use of digital payments in the Philippines. The promo is available to RCBC Visa and Mastercard credit cardholders, who can receive up to ₱300 in cashback during the promo period. GoTyme Bank has partnered with Visa for the FIFA World Cup 2026, bringing exclusive promos and experiences for Filipino fans. The collaboration allows GoTyme Bank customers to get a chance to watch the World Cup live, with raffle entries tied to spending using their GoTyme Visa Debit Cards. As part of the campaign, GoTyme is also rolling out limited-edition Visa debit cards featuring World Cup-themed designs, including Pitch Black and Trophy Gold variants. GoTyme Bank is now the most-used Visa debit card in the Philippines.
