VLC says that it can generate these subtitles locally on your PC, in over 100 languages, without relying on an internet connection or cloud-based servers. As VLC's Chief Marketing Officer Natacha Holtzhausser puts it, this isn't just about adding subtitles—it's about making content universally accessible, whether it’s movies, TV shows, lectures, or live streams. Data shows that 89% of Gen Z users in the Philippines use Google Search every day, alongside similar figures in Indonesia and Thailand.
