#Windows 11 Free Update

It will roll out as a free upgrade to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs that come pre-loaded with Windows 11. The Windows 11 upgrade will then roll out to in-market devices "based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors." Those who have a Windows 10 PC eligible for the upgrade will be notified when the update is available. Users may also check if Windows 11 is ready for their device by going to Settings > Windows Update and select Check for updates*. Microsoft targets to offer the free upgrade to Windows 11 to all eligible devices by mid-2022. Microsoft has started rolling out new preview updates for Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. The update brings Windows 11 Builds 26100.7918 and 26200.7918 (KB5077241) to devices running version 24H2 and the upcoming 25H2. The Windows 7 will no longer receive security updates or support for PCs running the OS.
