Xiaomi, China's popular smartphone brand has just released their own version of the Apple TV called the Xiaomi Box - an Android-based settop box that comes with Apple's Airplay feature. The Xiaomi Box runs on a heavily customized Android OS with support for 720p and 1080p video outputs and can stream online video contents from sources like Sohu, PPTV, Tencent, Sina, Funshion, Netease, and iFeng for free. As for the hardware, the Xiaomi Box has a curved polycarbonate body that houses the Cortex-A9 800MHz processor, 1GB of RAM, HDMI Out, Ethernet jack, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Micro-USB port with On-The-Go (OTG) support, and Power Socket.
