#Yahoo Groups shutdown date

Yahoo recently announced that it will shutdown Yahoo Groups before 2020. As spotted on the support page of Yahoo Groups, the advisory states that Yahoo Groups will stop its operations on December 15, 2020. This means that members will no longer be able to send and receive emails from Yahoo Groups on the said date. Yahoo recommends Facebook Groups, Google Groups, and Groups.io in replacement of Yahoo Groups. The shutdown won't affect the Yahoo Mail services. Yahoo decided to shut down the Yahoo Groups due to the decline of usage. Government agencies and civil society groups welcomed the updates but noted that more measures may still be needed to address issues such as harmful content, misinformation, and cybercrime affecting children and teenagers online.
