YouTube has updated its desktop site so it now remembers how users sort videos on a channel. Before the update, YouTube always returned to the Latest option on desktop. With the update, YouTube now remembers the sorting option a user picked earlier. The update fixes a long-time user interface issue that some viewers found inconvenient when browsing a creator’s content. YouTube has announced new updates aimed at making the platform safer and more balanced for teen viewers, while giving parents better control. One of the biggest updates is for YouTube Shorts. YouTube is also rolling out new content quality guidelines for teens. Finally, YouTube is simplifying family account management.
