If you’re looking for a wired Internet plan for under Php1.5K budget, then here’s an option from PLDT – the Speedster Plan which offers up to 10 Mbps Internet speed for Php1,299 a month.
The Speedster Plan 1299 is a Home DSL and Landline combo. It offers up to 10 Mbps speeds with a monthly volume allowance of 50 GB. When subscribing, you will have to pay an installation fee of Php1,100 and Php99/mo for 12 months for the WiFi modem.
Since volume allowance is limited, PLDT’s volume booster packages are also available: 1 GB for Php49, 4 GB for Php99 or 10 GB for Php199. Unconsumed volume from a booster package may be carried over only to the next month.
Current DSL Plans 990 and 1299 subscribers may also avail of the Speedster Plan and will be considered as an upgrade.

Most of the time it feels fast and it does clock in at 9.8Mbps. What bothers me nowadays is the 1Mbps upload speed which most of the time clocks in at 0.8 to 0.9Mbps. That can be a problem if you need your connection to upload videos or if you have IP Cameras in your home to monitor. With broader use of cloud services, this is a problem. They should have raised the uplink a bit. Something like 3Mbps will do. 800Kbps on the uplink is dismal.
Oh yeah, keeping an eye on your household’s usage is a bummer too.
sir ung bagong offer ng globe for the same price is 10mbps din and may 100GB for 1 month and my upload speed reaches 6.8-7mb download ko minsan umaabot ng 11-12mb pg hating gabi.

Hindi 10mbps yan, pina upgrade ko 2mbps ko na 1,299 same parin sa speed test 1.7mbps nagkaroon pa ako ng data cap na 50gb. Tapos sabi ko ibalik nalang dun sa dating plan, need ko magbayad ng 1,299 x 3 para maibalik sa dating plan. Kalokohan to….

Ito siguro yun trojan horse ng PLDT para tanggapin ng pinoy consumers ang home broadband connections na may monthly data caps. Mabilis nga ang speed for the price, kaso may cap.
May cap na rin ba ang Globe?
avoid this plan! sobra liit ng 50gb! kahit hindi ka mag torrent, ubos ito sa youtube, app updates, windows update, netflix, etc. sa youtube pa lang, auto play sya sa highest quality dahil mabilis ang na detect nya speed mo. and worst of all, kapag na reach mo na 50gb, PLDT won’t even throttle your speed but they will cut off your internet access. you have to buy extra data to have it restored or wait until your next billing cycle to replenish the 50gb. we’ve been on this plan for 4 months now and its excruciating to always monitor your data usage because you have to be conscious of what you are doing on the net and you no longer enjoy it. it’s better to stick to an unlimited plan kahit mabagal.

Based on MY use per month for just watching “Youtube” “Update” “Browsing” and “Gaming” i use 60-100gb per month :P all on LOW quality. so… this is POINTLESS in every possible sense! :D give me 300gb per month then i’ll subscribe!

Grabi naman 50GB di aabot ng isang buwan? Wala ba kayong mga trabaho at nasa bahay lang kayo buong araw nanunood at nag dadownload ng mga movies? O baka sobrang yaman nyo na at di nyo na kailangang magtrabaho? Huwag na kayong mag tiyaga sa plan na to.. mas afford nyo yung mas mabilis at walang cap.
wala ka bang kapamilya na nasa bahay?, mga anak o kapatid na gumagamit ng net? kung wala, cge sakto 50GB per month na yan sayo, pero para saamin na may pamilya kulang yan.

Is there a globe counter part on this? Their Plan 999 DSL only is @ 3mbps still. Still hoping to upgrade my internet for minimal cost.
50 GB a month is good for 1-2 casual inter user with laptop and Smartphones, make it 100GB it will cater normal internet user needs.
you mean the normal pinoy-pirate user. Anyhow, data capping is really a deal breaker but for those who doesn’t need it, this is a really good deal. depends on the area of course. PLDT in my place is crap!
