DJI officially introduced its new edition of its Goggles dubbed the DJI Goggles Racing Edition (RE) that feature a redesigned metallic matte black visor and headband, paired with padding covered by high-quality red leather.
DJI Goggles RE delivers FPV (First-person view) video with speed, stability, and clarity. The OcuSync Video Transmission offers 2.4 and 5.8GHz dual-band digital video transmission with latency as lows as 50 ms and a maximum control range of up to 7 km. It is also equipped with 1280 x 960 HD transmission, and automatic Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS).
It utilizes a global shutter which helps reduce rolling shutter caused by high-frequency vibration. The DJI OcuSync Camera that comes with the device uses a 1/3″ image sensor and it also has a 148-degree FOV with a low-distortion lens, delivering a wide and natural-looking camera view.
It can be used with vehicles, robots, and industrial drones as it provides a clear FPV during cargo transportation, search and rescue operations, and structural inspections.
The DJI Goggles RE is priced at $549PHP 32,218INR 46,528EUR 523CNY 3,996 (~Php27,790.38USD 474INR 40,146EUR 451CNY 3,449) and can be avail through DJI’s store. Local availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
