Hmmm. A lot of wristwatches from decent brands sell for less than 10K. And compared to other smartwatches, this is priced steeply din talaga.

It looks lovely, and some of the watch faces you can download are really cool, but the steep price plus the fact that you have to tediously charge this everyday makes it a bit impractical. If they lower it below 10K sana…

It’s priced at USD299 in the States. So parang imposible na maging 10K lang dito yan. Hehe.

Why so expensive?

I still don’t know why people buy these. Expensive. I’d rather buy an ordinary watch for cheaper price. The problem with smartwatches is that it can become obsolete fast and replaced by a new product.

I own the original Pebble. It does a better job of notifying me through vibrate than the phone itself. It’s a different platform (Pebble OS) but I think, after having owned it for almost a year now, it’s worth the money.

On the “becoming obsolete” part, that’s just how digital tech goes. The same fast pace applies to other gadgets, too.
