Last week, I finally joined Yahoo! Meme, partly because of that iPad giveaway they were doing but primarily because I don’t want some anonymous person taking the YugaTech brand name.
I already learned that lesson the hard way with Twitter so I’m not about to repeat the same mistake with the growing network on Yahoo! Meme. Besides, I’m looking at it as some sort of personal blog of sorts (much like Tumblr).
So Yahoo! is doing a Yahoo! Meme Challenge for users who submit the most popular, creative and original “meme“.

Aside from the weekly iPod Nano winners, they’re giving away a new iPad for the over-all winner.
And early today, I was surprised by the tons of email alerts I’m getting from people following me on Yahoo! Meme. I got curious on how Yahoo! implemented the user discovery system until I saw an FB post from @mikeabundo that my Yahoo! Meme account was feature on Y!PH homepage (thanks to Yahoo! Social Media Editor @joeyalarilla).

So, here’s my game plan — invite as many people to join and follow me on Yahoo! Meme, aggressively post viral-like content on my meme account and hopefully win that Apple iPad. Once I win that iPad, I’ll raffle it to my readers here. *hehe*
So, if you’re not yet on Yahoo! Meme, go sign up and add me!
