AMD introduces Ryzen Desktop APUs with Radeon Vega Graphics

Listen to article

AMD has officially launched their newest APUs, codenamed ‘Raven Ridge’. The two SKUs feature a Zen-based CPU with Radeon Vega integrated graphics, which edges AMD a little bit over the competition, Intel, in terms of integrated graphics.

The great thing about these chips are that they are already compatible with existing motherboards that use the AM4 socket. This includes A320, B350, and X370 based boards. In the box, both APUs come included with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler.

As for availability, expect local retailers to have them in stock shortly. OEM systems that use the Ryzen 5 2400G and Ryzen 3 2400G are expected to be available in the coming months.

“edges AMD a little bit over the competition, Intel, in terms of integrated graphics” No kidding I heard it would be even better than a dedicated gpu like mx150.

“both APUs come included with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler” hopefully it does not have overheat problems

This would great for mid budget gaming “PUBG” for consumers since gpu prices skyrocketing even in the phils.

There’s an error on your article which says that the Ryzen 5 2400G has 4 cores / 4 threads. That specific APU actually has 4cores/8threads to be more accurate.
