Smart Unlimited 3G Internet for Php50/day

That didn’t take too long. Just a couple of weeks after Sun Cellular offered unlimited 3G internet at Php50 per day, Smart has also come up with the same with Unli Surf 50.

Check out the following daily, weekly and monthly rates.

unli surf 50

That’s Php50 for 24 hours, Php300 for 1 week (7 days) or Php1,200 for a month (30 days). You activate this plan by visiting m.smart.com.ph/surf on your mobile phone.

However, it looks like internet access is only limited to your mobile phone. I have yet to test it while tethering to the laptop (still checking it now, will update this post later).

Compare this to Smart’s existing SmartBro Plug-it Postpaid which costs Php1,500 a month, the Unli Surf offer looks cheaper.

The previous Surf Plans (Php20/hour) and Web Unli Plans (Php20/day/site unlimited) are still available.

I’m currently using it via smartbro (ZTE mf627 usin “internet” as the APN) 3g Dongle and now enjoying its unlimited web browsing.

You can even download torrents with this unli setup *evil grin*.

Take note that you need to subscribe using a 2g/3g phone via wap as when you do this on using the USB dongle you will automatically subscribe to the regular plan which is 10php/30mins.

  48. Gravatar Icon captain_b replied on Dec 9th, 2009 at 12:21 pm (48)

  56. Gravatar Icon buknoy replied on Dec 10th, 2009 at 3:44 pm (56)

    @Jaize

  57. Gravatar Icon buknoy replied on Dec 10th, 2009 at 3:49 pm (57)

    999/30 = 33.3 pesos / day

I’m using the service right now using a non-simlocked USB modem (don’t ask me about this :) ) and what I can say is that it’s currently the best deal around! Only 50 pesos for everything unlimited! Download, torrents, surfing, chat etc!

My speed peaks around 115 kilobytes per second.

  65. Gravatar Icon vheen03 replied on Dec 20th, 2009 at 3:51 am (65)

Unlimited nga. Im using my laptop with my nokia n70 connected via bluetooth. ok naman. May times na mabagal pero still fair for a 1-day unli service. I downloaded a 100mb movie for 1 hr. Its not limited to phone browsing since cp mo nman nkaconnect sa smart network so its still mobile surfing.

  66. Gravatar Icon jack replied on Dec 21st, 2009 at 6:17 pm (66)

Its easy to use, if you have unlocked usb modem and know how to configure it,your done.

    Lots of Questions though

Tethering – Pwede. They will never know if you’re browsing is thetered or not.

Torrents – I don’t think so. The service disconnects from time to time (they make sure na unattended auto downloads ay mapuputol) Time frame, maybe give it 2 hours continous connection, then reconnect ka na lang pag naputol, though the speed on 3.5G connection goes 120KBPS downstream

Mahal, maginternet na lang sa bahay – Depends on the users. I use Windows Mobile and iPhone, I got Skype, Google maps, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo and Live Messenger and ang killer application ko, Mobile Wifi. I use this on road and thanks a lot to SMART, makakarating ako kahit saan ng hindi naliligaw

  74. Gravatar Icon Francis Salvador replied on Dec 30th, 2009 at 2:16 pm (74)

Take note Nokia is either Symbian or S40 ang operating system. You can only install Fring. Walang Skype na available. N900 is Linux, may Skype pero hindi available ang fone na to sa Pinas. Fring converts voice data of Skype over its network, which at times, the conversion is horrible.

Windows mobile (Samsung Omina, HTC and others) can run Skype natively that runs on 3G networks. Iphone 3G can run Skype over 3G network pero kailangan i-Jailbreak para tumakbo sa SMART, and kailangan iHack para tumakbo over 3G ang Skype

Guys, this unlisurf 50 is very convenient. I am using my P990i as modem to connect to internet. I was thinking if I could use this one to connect using the smartbro usb stick as the speed would be more faster. The speed of my phone is limited to 384kbps only, the download could only take up to 50kbps the most.

If I could use this promo via the USB stick, it would take up to 1mbps speed, so that’s better.

    @ranug
    Thanks for the comment.
Actually it’s the one I use now. SE p990i.
I was asking about using this unlisurf 50 using the Smartbroadband usb kit.

    Is that possible?
I read somewhere that yes, it can be done.

im using this for a week now. im satisfied, much faster than my sbw postpaid! much better kung gamitin nalang na modem ang 3g (or better yet hsdpa) fone neo. im using bt tethering .. tapos pag nasa skul ako, or anywhere else, im using my fone to update my twitter and facebook !

  91. Gravatar Icon surferboy replied on Feb 14th, 2010 at 11:00 pm (91)

For some irritating reason, I can no longer download any torrent files.

Before, I was able to connect using the PC Suit Internet Wizard, just 1 hour ago, it would go through, but when I started opening my browser, the page would display “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage”.

So, I’ve had to do some stuff in order to be able to use bt tethering.

I can only do browsing for some sites. When I try to download a file from hotfile site, the page would not go through.

I guess, smart has stopped downloading torrent files via bt tethering when using this Unlisurf50.

Do any of you experience this?

Guys, im usin an iphone and i cant seem to register sa browser… Is there any other way para maka-register ako sa unli surf? Thanks!

  95. Gravatar Icon Fran replied on Mar 23rd, 2010 at 3:01 pm (95)

It works with my laptop. I’ve been connected to the internet fo 2 hrs now, using a w705 phone and I checked my prepaid load balance 3x and confirmed that it has not been charged. I assumed then that the unli50 works. speed is good. I was able to video stream from megavideo.

  97. Gravatar Icon butch replied on Mar 28th, 2010 at 9:20 pm (97)

  98. Gravatar Icon captain_b replied on Mar 29th, 2010 at 10:09 am (98)

@HP Smart WAP Site is free of charge. You must have browsed other sites which could have triggered the P10. If you want, you can just text UNLIP50 to 211 so you can be sure that there’s no other charge aside from P50. Glad to help. Thanks

    @butch thanks!

nga pala, ayaw din gumana nung UNLIP50 using smartbro sim.

smartbro is sucks.. ang hina ng sinal fuckshit they only concern sa money they are getting from us users, they dont care for the costumer’s satisfaction. they dont upgrade their sites ang hina ng kukute nila..

hello, bakit d ako makapasok sa unli surf na however i tried eh nung first ko nalaman yun i tried it agad nakapasok naman ako by sending unli 50 to 211. wla nman na disconfigure sa network settings kasi me lang naman gumagamit ng unit ko and d ko pinakikialaman mga settings. why it cannot be successfully registered huhuhu. in fairness and bilis speed nung unang paggamit ko.

    @smartsexygirl

Wala atang 50/day option sa smartbro, only 200Php/5 days.

Yung 50/day, 300/7days, 1200/30 days are available only if you are using a smart buddy sim.

the speed depends on what location are you staying
so choose at your own risk
    hahahaa ^_^

    eto ginagawa ko…

    Requirements:
    2. Smart Buddy SIM
    3. WAP capable phone (para makapagregister through WAP)

    Explanation:

    1. Make sure you have enough load in your Smart Buddy SIM.(e.g. 50 php)
    2. Use the SMART Buddy sim in your WAP capable phone and head over to m.smart.com.ph/surf. Register for unlisurf(50php/day.)
    3. Once successfully registered. Transfer your sim to your HSDPA dongle.
    4. Insert your dongle into a pc (of course). With the application for the modem already started, change your APN settings to “internet” instead of “smartbro”.

    gets?
