Cherry Mobile is bolstering its health-centric lifestyle products with the release of its new Cherry Ionizer with Air Purifier and Humidifier. Like the Cherry Ion they released a few months ago, it aims to provide its users with cleaner air in their homes. Check out our hands-on below.
The package comes with the Cherry Ionizer unit, power adapter, manual, and the filter, which is good for 1,000 hours of use. Installing the filter is very simple as you just need to remove a screw and remove the back panel.
The unit itself is pretty portable at 203 x 120 x 257 mm, which is a small footprint so you can place it on a side table or even a desk. It’s also relatively light at 1.8 kg (without the water), so you can easily move it around.
On the front is the illuminated touch controls. Here you will see the Power. Once you touch it, it will automatically run in purify mode with the ionizer activated. The LED indicator will glow, and the fan will switch on. It will suck air from the back and blow clean air at the top. The fan is audible, but not too loud to be a distraction.
From here you can adjust the wind speed, or switch on or off the ionizer. However, you cannot activate the ionizer on its own. It will only be available in purify mode.
For the humidifier feature, you’ll first need to fill up the tank, which you can remove on its right side. Just fill it with water and put it back in. Turn on the power and touch the humidify icon. It will then release vapor at the top.
Other features include child lock and a timer, which you can schedule in 3, 9, or 24 hours. There’s also a Sleep mode which turns of the lights and has the unit run quietly.
So far, we have a pleasant experience with the Cherry Ionizer as it helps reduce dust and other particles in the air. The humidifier, on the other hand, adds moisture in the air, which can benefit people with respiratory issues or dry skin. It has a purifying area of 30 sq.m, which is good enough for small rooms.
The Cherry Ionizer is now available in Cherry Mobile Shopee and Lazada stores for PHP 4,000.
