A number of Havit products have been with us just recently and one of those is the Havit PB8809 20,000mAh power bank. Is it worth its price? Check out our hands-on and first impressions below.

Right off the bat, the Havit PB8809 is looking thicc or bulky. It has a leather-y cover with a matte-like finish that looks stylish in the eyes. For a power bank, it is quite weird to encounter this kind of design since it’s usually metal or plastic on the get-go. In our hands, the power bank is heavier than expected and is hard to fit in our pockets due to its bulky and buff structure.

There are 4 ports for the Havit PB8809 — two inputs with micro USB and USB Type-C ports and two USB 2.0 outputs. What’s interesting is that the power bank has a built-in flashlight in the middle. The power button which also serves as the LED notification light can be found at the adjacent side.
To use the flashlight, just hold down the power button and it will light up instantly. The light emitted is decent and can be used as a backup light source.

The Havit PB8809 sports a 20,000mAh battery which can charge a smartphone with a 5,000mAh battery up to three times, if our math is correct. Charging a smartphone would take at most 4 hours which means that it does not have fast charging capabilities. It’s not actually bad if it’s being used outdoors but I personally wouldn’t use it unless I don’t have any power source to charge my devices.

Overall, the Havit PB8809 is a stylish power bank that can fuel up any smartphone but our main problem is its weight and bulkiness. I personally wouldn’t bring this if I am on a casual stroll but this device would be the best fit for long-term travels especially camping or trekking.
