Nokia introduces NFC-equipped Treasure Tags

Nokia has introduced a new accessory to go well with your Lumia smartphone and personal belongings, the Treasure Tag.

The Nokia Treasure Tag is a match box sized accessory that pairs with your Lumia smartphone (Lumia Black update required) via NFC and Bluetooth and hooks with personal belongings like your wallet, bag, or phone. It works with the Nokia Treasure Tag app which can be downloaded from the Windows Phone Store.

If you leave your house without the Treasure Tag your phone and the tag will emit a loud tone to alert you. This also makes it easier for you to locate the tag in case you misplaced it somewhere. In addition, the app can also help you locate the item on a map via HERE.

The Tag is powered by a user replaceable CR-2032 battery and can last up to six months.

The Nokia Treasure Tag comes in four different colors: cyan, yellow, white and black with a recommended retail price of €24.90 ($29.90 / approx. Php1,500). The Nokia Treasure Tag is expected to start selling in April to retailers globally.
