Listen to article

Globe has just announced that they will be launching a prepaid home fiber service this June 2023.

In a media briefing held today, Globe announced that they will be launching Prepaid Fiber by June 2023 or the second quarter of this year.

“As proof of our commitment to deliver Fiber connectivity to the broader market, I am happy to announce that Globe will be launching Prepaid Fiber by June to cater to the underserved segment,” said Globe Consumer Mobile Business head Darius Delgado.

“This will feature a fully digital experience, coupled with sachet pricing and financing options that’s most relevant and accessible to the mass market,” he added.

It can be recalled that in 2022, Globe launched its TMBayan Fiber WiFi service. TMBayan Fiber WiFi is Globe’s public WiFi service that converted sari-sari stores, town plazas, and other neighborhood convergence areas into WiFi hotspots.

Delgado says that the introduction of Prepaid Fiber will be the telco’s “next big thing to solidify [Globe’s] foothold in the prepaid segment.”
