GameBench has released a free app called GameBench FPS Monitor, allowing Android users to check gaming performance on their devices. The app is now available on the Google Play Store for devices running Android 11 or newer.

The GameBench FPS Monitor shows real-time data such as frame rate (FPS), janks or frame drops, and battery temperature. This information appears as a floating overlay while playing games. Users can start tracking by pressing a button on the screen, and the app will record the data during the session.
After recording, users can view results like FPS charts, temperature changes, and total frame drops. These results are saved in a dashboard and can be shared as screenshots. The app can also work with non-gaming apps, such as social media or other tools.
Unlike the paid GameBench Pro, this free version does not need a user account, a PC setup, or root access. However, it requires a Wi-Fi connection to run.
There are some limits. Each session can only run for 5 minutes, with a total of 20 minutes allowed per day. GameBench said it may adjust these limits based on user feedback.
The app aims to make performance tracking easier for regular users without needing advanced tools.
