Xiaomi is partnering with international transportation network company, Uber, for an on-demand delivery of the Xiaomi Mi Note smartphone to its buyers in Singapore and Malaysia.

The idea is simple, if you’re in Singapore or Malaysia, just open the Uber app on your smartphone, use the slider at the bottom to select “Xiaomi”, hit request, and an Uber car will deliver your new Mi Note smartphone to your doorstep. The payment will then be charged to your credit card tied to your Uber account.
“This is an awesome and first-of-its-kind collaboration between two of the most innovative tech startups in the world.” said Hugo Barra in his Facebook post.

YUGATECH – PHILIPPINE TECH NEWS AND REVIEW
it should be – MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE and PHILIPPINE”S” TECH NEWS AND REVIEW
We can’t really help it if there are Filipinos in other countries who read our blog.
I don’t understand what the fuss is about. We publish these stories for you to read for free. Don’t know why you think you can demand what stories we cover and for whom we write it for.
Yet your posts are not really related to the Philippines, right?
Yes, you can’t help it if Filipinos from other countries are reading your blog. They visit your site for the local technology news.

One of the reasons we do this is to raise awareness. We got similar reactions when we started writing about Xiaomi products even when they’re not available locally at the time. They can’t buy the product yet but they were made aware which is an advantage especially when Xiaomi finally did arrive in the country. The same idea applies here. Just because it’s not relevant to you or at this moment doesn’t mean it’s not relevant to everyone else or in the future.
