Xiaomi testing toggle button for disabling system ads

Listen to article

Xiaomi has reportedly been testing a feature to disable system ads for their devices with a toggle button.

As per an article by SmartPrix, this is currently in the works for HyperOS devices. Their article provides a GIF showing that an “ads in system apps” toggle can be found in the settings menu.

The feature is currently running on a HyperOS test build on the Xiaomi 13 Pro. This suggests that the toggle may not be rolled out for all users. However, we have high hopes that Xiaomi provides this feature to most of their smartphone lines.

The rumored feature would greatly benefit Xiaomi users who find the running ads a nuisance. This would eliminate the time-consuming process needed to avoid these entirely.
