Php10,000 Second-hand PC Build Guide

All of us wants to get the most out of our money. You could build yourself a decent low-end setup for Php10,000, but some people are not content with the performance as you just can’t fit a lot of power in a Php10k build. For those looking to maximize performance for a Php10,000 build while taking a risk, this guide is for you.

Here we utilize 2nd hand parts for a cheaper, yet a more powerful build than our current Php10,000 build. Keep in mind though that since we are utilizing used parts, durability and availability will vary. Since that it is secondhand, we are also not responsible if there are any unexpected results such as component damage, and the life-span of the parts.

Please don’t expect running games in ULTRA Settings at 1080p with this build especially today’s AAA titles such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Hitman, GTA V, and the like. Build 1:

TOTAL PRICE: Php9,500 – 12,000

Here we utilized Intel’s Core i3-2100. Personally this was my first processor for my very first self-assembled RIG back in 2011. Despite being 5 years old, this processor still packs a punch with a clock speed of 3.1Ghz and features Hyper-Threading. This processor is good enough in editing simple videos, and is also good for gaming even with today’s AAA titles.

Build 2:

TOTAL PRICE: Php10,500 – 13,000

Just because we’re utilizing 2nd-gen Sandy-Bridge technology doesn’t mean it’s weak. I’ve personally used the i3-2100 and it is still great in playing today’s non-CPU extensive games, and the i5-2500 (k or non k) is still a great processor for gaming due to it’s quad-core non-hyperthreaded structure. Let’s not forget this build is for those looking to maximize their Php10,000 on a second-hand gaming rig.

PERFORMANCE COMPARISON:

In order to show you the performance difference between our Php10,000 Brand New Build Guide, here we have the PassMark score and benchmarks of two of today’s most common competitive e-sports games. Also below we have sample videos of the GTX 560’s performance with various games coupled with various processors to give you an estimate on what kind of performance the GTX 560 can bring.

As you can clearly see above, because of the dedicated GTX 560, we we’re easily able to beat our Php10,000 Brand New Build Guide in terms of gaming performance. In raw compute power In the PassMark tests, the i5-2500 has the highest score with 6,238, followed by AMD’s A8-7600 with a score of 5,184, then succeeded by Intel’s Pentium G4400, and Intel’s Core i3-2100 with a score of 3,674 and 3,642 respectively.

You don’t need to have the latest nor the most powerful components to run a game. There are pros and cons: like the risks in buying secondhand parts as some may be faulty or if they are unavailable at the market. Having a dedicated GPU will significantly increase gaming performance compared to APUs and CPUs without a dedicated graphics card.
