The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has approved the PHP 2.00USD 0.03INR 3EUR 0.03CNY 0.25 fare hike, increasing the minimum jeepney fare to PHP 10.00USD 0.17INR 14EUR 0.16CNY 1.
The LTFRB recently approved the PHP 2.00USD 0.03INR 3EUR 0.03CNY 0.25 permanent jeepney fare hike for the NCR, Region 3, at Region 4-A, in response to the petition that transport groups filed in September 2017. In July 2018, the LTFRB approved a PHP 1.00USD 0.02INR 1EUR 0.02CNY 0.12 provisional fare hike, raising the minimum fare from PHP 8.00USD 0.14INR 12EUR 0.13CNY 0.99 to PHP 9.00USD 0.15INR 13EUR 0.15CNY 1.
Now that the PHP 2.00USD 0.03INR 3EUR 0.03CNY 0.25 fare hike has been approved, the provisional increase will no longer take effect, thus the minimum fare will be PHP 10.00USD 0.17INR 14EUR 0.16CNY 1. The decision shall be effective 15 days after publication in a newspaper of general and/or local circulation, which is in November 2018.
