TECNO has just introduced its new budget-friendly smartphone, the SPARK Go 2, bringing notable upgrades over its predecessor in display, performance, and software. The device offers durability with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance, making it a solid choice for users seeking an affordable yet resilient phone.

The SPARK Go 2 comes in four colors: Ink Black, Titanium Grey, Veil White, and Turquoise Green. It features a large 6.67-inch HD+ LCD screen with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio, offering better visuals and more fluid scrolling compared to standard displays in this price segment.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the UNISOC T7250 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, built on a 12nm process. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, with support for an additional 4GB of virtual RAM to help with multitasking. Users can further expand storage through a microSD card slot, providing flexibility for apps and media.
Battery life is a strong point for the SPARK Go 2, equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging through a USB-C port. This combination promises extended usage without frequent charging interruptions.

For photography, the phone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, ensuring decent pictures even in low light. On the front, an 8-megapixel camera also comes with dual-LED flash, catering to selfie lovers and video calls.
Additional practical features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security, an infrared sensor for remote control functionality, and DTS-enabled dual stereo speakers that enhance the audio experience for media consumption and gaming.
One standout software addition is the “No Network Communication” mode, which allows users to continue accessing essential phone functions even without a mobile network signal—perfect for areas with spotty coverage.
Connectivity includes dual SIM support, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi at 2.4GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS. The phone runs on the latest HiOS 15 based on Android 15 and includes TECNO’s Ella AI voice assistant, which supports several regional Indian languages, making it more accessible to local users. TECNO also assures up to four years of smooth, lag-free performance, which is impressive for a budget device.
The SPARK Go 2 is priced at INR 6,999 (around PHP 4,600 before taxes and duties) and will be available in India starting July 1 via Flipkart. There is no official word yet on availability or pricing for the Philippines market.
