AMD Radeon RX 9050 officially unveiled

AMD has officially unveiled the Radeon RX 9050, expanding its Radeon RX 9000 desktop graphics card lineup with a new entry-level RDNA-based GPU aimed at 1080p gaming.

The Radeon RX 9050 features 16 Compute Units, 1,024 Stream Processors, 16 Ray Accelerators, and 32 AI Accelerators. It runs at a 1,920MHz game clock with boost speeds of up to 2,600MHz, delivering up to 10.6 TFLOPS of FP32 compute performance.

The graphics card comes equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory running at 18Gbps over a 128-bit memory interface, providing 288GB/s of memory bandwidth. It also includes 32MB of Infinity Cache, uses a single 8-pin power connector, and has a 92W typical board power. AMD recommends pairing the card with a 450W power supply.

AMD also published its own gaming benchmarks for the Radeon RX 9050 at 1080p using medium settings. According to the company, the card delivers:

Forza Horizon 6 – 131 FPS
Pragmata – 85 FPS
007: First Light – 60 FPS
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 – 116 FPS
Counter-Strike 2 – 227 FPS
Rainbow Six Siege – 206 FPS
Valorant – 593 FPS (High settings)

AMD did not disclose the test platform or whether technologies such as upscaling or frame generation were enabled during testing.

Compared to the Radeon RX 9060, the RX 9050 has fewer Compute Units and Stream Processors, positioning it as the entry-level model in AMD’s Radeon RX 9000 desktop GPU family.

Price and Availability

AMD has not yet announced the official price of the Radeon RX 9050.

However, reports suggest the graphics card could launch at around USD 279 and may initially be available in select markets, including Asia-Pacific, Japan, and Latin America.
